(this happened on) Tuesday 21/12/10 at sea somewhere off of the East Coast of Malaysia
The clock has gone back one hour, breakfast arrived at around 9:30am and was again not really worth the effort. I will probably have to go up to the restaurant from now on.
Today we are at sea and so it’s a great excuse to laze, eat, drink and be merry. Once we were washed and dressed we relaxed for a bit in the room before heading up to the information desk.
One thing the ship is missing is a 7/11 esque type shop which sells drinks, choccies, snacks food, asprin, etc but I guess you cannot have everything.
At the information desk I tried to change some money from Malaysian Ringgit to Thai Bhat, but I was met with a ‘we don’t change that type of money here’ Amazing, on a cruise between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand they don’t actually have the currencies, they do have pointless currencies like: Euros, GB Pounds probably even US Dollar none of which are any good at all here.
Sofia and I had a very nice lunch, I had a seafood salad and a pork escallope all very nice and Sofia had Salad and Carbanari which she enjoyed.
Then we went up on deck and lazed in the bright sunshine until around 3:00pm when the skies darkened and so we headed back to the cabin for a freshen up before heading to the bar for drinks and a few games of Kaluki, needless to say Sofia beat me again.
We went off to dinner and it was very nice, the food is proving surprisingly good on this trip.
After dinner it was time for more cards, Sofia winning again. Then, I headed to the ships casino and once again had my ass handed to me!
