The Gap Year Gang On A Nature Hunt

Another very nice sunny day at the Sonaisali Resort, Fiji.
Sasha was not well so did not come to breakfast, so just the three of us went. We were watching the Miner birds and a Blublu that is part of the gang that were waiting for people to go up for food and then were doing raids on their tables, drinking their juice and eating their cereal, stealing their toast, completely brazen. Blublu’s are little black birds with black crests and scarlet bums.
Sofia took Sasha some water and sweeties to make sure she is OK, we think after a sleep she will be fine.
Basty and I went to play tennis!!
I was a bit annoyed that in what is supposed to be a quality resort they only have two tennis rackets one of which has a loose handle and two balls both of which are on the ragged edge.
Why go to the expense of putting in a full on Tennis court if you then lower the value of it with crap kit.
I guess I was most angry at myself the once graceful gazelle like sportsman of my youth is a fat lumbering mess, still way to good for junior, but he could kick my ass at Video games, which is the modern youth for you.
I spent my formative years playing football all day in the season and then cricket though the summer, walking the local hills and paddling the local rivers, cycling for miles and sitting for hours with my fishing rod at a local lake.
I guess you can do all of that on a Wii now!
After that I just hung around, watched a bit of TV and then went and hooked myself up to the Internet to check up on the emails and post our blogs.
Sofia went off with the camera to try once again to get some good pictures of crabs. Firstly she went to the lagoon and crouched down and waited for the yellow crabs to come out and play. She did get some good shots and then Basty went to help. They then went around to the beach and tried to get the very elusive green tiger crabs. she did get one good shot, then Sabastian found a purple round one.
She left Basty climbing the rocks and went to do some drawings and sketches from the photos.

After a nice afternoon drawing she decided it was time for a swim.
The tide had come in nicely so in she went, Sasha joining her for a paddle. Sofia found it quite difficult as the water is was very shallow.
Sofia and I then enjoyed a very nice relax in the hottub, sadly we eventually had to get out to get ready for dinner.
It was Indian curry night, yummy, all the Fijian ladies were in jewel bright sari’s.
After dinner Sasha, Basty and Sofia went frog and toad hunting with the camera, they got some good pictures including one of Sasha with a frog on her head. And then another Boston Legalathon.
