The Gap Year Gang Go To Orleans (not that one)

Sofia had a good lie in this morning, when she did get up nobody wanted to have a swim with her so,  she took her book down with her and had a swim and a read by the pool. It was well over 100F so she could not stay out in it too long.

Once we were all up and dressed we caught the shuttle bus to go and check out The Orleans, it is part of the same chain as the Gold Coast but is much bigger and more lively.

It’s much bigger but still has that cosy feeling you don’t get with one of the mega strip resorts.

We had a good look around, it has a 70 or so ten pin bowling lanes, it also has a 19 screen cinema.

Whilst we were there we decided to eat at the Buffet, overall it was quite good although I was not sure that the meat in the Mongolian BBQ was not off and so after a few unsure mouthfuls I abandoned it.

The Orleans also has an amusement arcade where we all played silly games, Sofia and I had a competition where we had to catch bumble bee ping pong balls and put them in a honey pot. The boys played all sorts of stuff, they collected the paper tickets from each game and with them Basty was able to get Sasha a rubber duckie (bless, I think he has missed her, she is back tonight), it might be childish but it was fun, a bit of family competition.

Poor Stefan is feeling under the weather, he has a bad tummy so keeps disappearing off to the loo.

Sasha should coming back from LA today as her friends are due to fly home tomorrow.

After the Arcade I bought tickets for myself and the boys to go and watch Tuff-N-Uff which is an upcoming MMA fighters competition being held at the Orleans on Saturday night.

Then we decided to try out the Ten Pin Bowling at the Orleans.

The place was packed but we got a lane, Stefan was amazing today with a 163 game which easily beat me, Sabastian was also much more consistent today.

The second game I gained my revenge with a 168 although with the two games combined Stef did out score me. Sofia did not play as she was feeling unwell.

We got the shuttle back to the Gold Coast only we had to go via the strip and Bill’s as all the roads are being dug up to put the power lines under ground, we ended up going a very circuitous route, of course eventually we made it back.

Back at the Gold Coast Sofia went to check and see if the girls had arrived, but they were still not in.

I put his name down for the Poker room and we both played video poker .

Basty came and found Sofia and told her that the girls had arrived and were at reception and they needed her to check them in.

Anna looked terribly tired so we took her up to the room, Sasha and Alice though were full of bubblyness and needed to do something while they told Sofia of all their adventures and how brilliant the Warp Tour had been.

So the three of them went ten pin bowling, While I went off to play poker.

First they had a drink as if they waited ten minutes till midnight the price of the bowling dropped to just a $1 a game per person.

The girls have to head out at 7:00am for the airport but they were still full of beans after the bowling so Sofia took them to TGI Fridays and they had a starter, 3 mini burgers (sliders) and a desert of peanut butter and chocolate pie.

Sofia then said goodbye to Alice and sent them off to bed.

Stefan had left his dive gear on our bed as we will be taking it with us when we leave,

I played Poker and lost (again), A rather busy day in the Vegas.
