The Gap Year Gang, Were The Green Lipped Mussels Fighting Back?

Hawaii is stunning
Sofia woke up and headed straight for the toilet and that was where she was to stay for the biggest part of the day not sure which end was going to cause trouble, bless her.
I suspect it was yesterdays food from Todai, probably the green lipped mussels as it was the only thing I did not have that she did, which is strange because I love mussels, but something about them put me off.
So I went out and got me some more Perrier water to help re-hydrate me.
Basty was watching an all day long comedy show on TV and even though I felt like dying I kept having to giggle, on top of that I had mad scientist hair and a white pallid face.
So with Sofia out of action and the kids unable to get out of bed due to late night computer sessions I decided to go out for a walk on my own.
I enjoyed a long slow walk through the shops at the Waikiki beach area and then a long pleasant stroll along the beach.
I really do love this place, the shopping is great and even I, who ain’t buying enjoys looking, and the beach, well, it’s covered in people, the sea is full of people, surfing, body boarding, swimming and plain old frolicking in the surf.
The sand has all the sights and sounds of happy families and really makes you feel glad to be alive.
For the evening we headed back to the same area as the kids had a real urge for Domino’s Pizza, we looked around but all we could find was a Domino’s Express and they could not see what they wanted so we carried on our search and eventually found a place called California Pizza Kitchen.
The kids had pizzas, I had a very nice spaghetti bolognese.
All but Sofia’s food had arrived and that was strange as she had ordered a salad.
Once we raised the question of the salad amid all apologies a salad quickly appeared and five minutes later another one turned up with a dear lady who I think may have been the owner who apologized for making Sofia wait and we could have the other salad as well.
Well Sofia was more than happy to take it as a take home for breakfast.
The food and service here was very good and the food was also very good value.
On the way back there was an art gallery (Higgins Hart International Galleries) that caught Sofia’s eye, it had some truly unique and special sculptures of ‘ethnic’ men and women, they had tribal tattoos and jewellery, all made out of galzed and matt pottery, so, so cool all done by Woodrow Nash, so talented.
There were also some works on display by the Actor Anthony Quinn which were very good (lot’s of self portraits) and also works by Anthony Hopkins (not so good).
