Dim Sum & Halloween in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Harbour

We missed breakfast, a theme, which would continue for the rest of our stay in HK.

We Took a cab to Time Square, and had lunch in a very nice restaurant on the 11th floor. We had:

-                Siew Long Bau (Shanghai pork dumplings)

-                Pot stickers (Peking style Pork dumplings)

-                Bean curd wrapped around vegetables (spinach)

-                Dumplings with Crab Roe inside

-                Chicken noodle soup

The soup was the best part, it was really fantastic, smooth and with a strong chicken broth which was not too salty.

So, refreshed we went shopping…

We walked a while to Wan Chai, We took the MTR to Lang Kwai Fong and watched some of the Halloween celebrations. We had a couple of beers in a bar at the top, then went in search of dinner…

A long stroll showed that Yunkie was fully booked, and Grill and Restaurant in the Mandarin were full too (or perhaps they just did not like our attire).

Frustrated we decided to make our way back to Time Square. Exiting the MTR we could not find Time square and walked around a bit, and then a bit more until finally we found Time Square. We found a good looking Chinese Seafood Restaurant, with plenty of live seafood in tanks outside.

We had:

-       Whole fried Grouper with sweet & sour sauce

-       Giant oysters in black bean sauce

-       Deep fried mantis shrimp in Garlic

-       Small Braised Abalone

-       Fried Rice

-       Broccoli with garlic

We took a cab home, and Tes had an interesting toilet experience which she puts down to the meal. Since I skipped on the Abalone, she could be right; I was fine.
