The Gap Year Gang, Two Say Goodbye

The Forum Shops at Caesars
Todays post is in fact todays two posts, mine and then Sofia’s.
Alan’s Day:
First thing this morning was the fact that I needed to check Anna and Alice out and wave them goodbye as they head back to England today.
Sofia was going to take the kids shopping at the Outlet Mall today so I set off on my own.
So it was just me and the camera alone in teh Vegas! The first shuttle was to the Orleans, so I took that and had a quick 15 minutes there taking pictures before catching the next shuttle down to the strip.
It was bloody hot again today so I had a gentle stroll down to the Fashion Show Mall where I was going to catch the shuttle out to the M Resort.
I do enjoy the ride through areas of Las Vegas that many others never go to, most visitors, I am sure never stray from the strip and to be fair most times I am one of them, so this was a nice change of pace.
The M Resort really is a super smart and friendly place, I again played 2/4 limit hold em amongst the locals who all look out for some fresh visitors to beat out of their money.
I took some pictures around the place and even got the lovely cocktails ladies to pose for a picture for me, they are the most attractive cocktail ladies in Vegas and also they really do make sure you are kept topped up with drinks, very efficient.
I caught the last shuttle back to the strip (8:30pm) and then wandered back up through the strip.
I did try and play poker at O’Shea’s but the A-hole at the poker room looked down on me when I asked about 2/4 limit games, I guess they are No Limit only bullshit! O’Sheas is a real hovel and with that type of attitude I can only hope it disappears up it’s own ass.
I finally found my way back to the Gold Coast where I joined a 2/4 limit game and had a bit of fun but ultimately lost.
Sasha and Stefan have gone out to see Marilyn Manson at the Hard Rock and returned in the early hours all excited.
It turns out that they had decided to walk all the way back from the Hard Rock hotel, that is a serious distance and was probably a good hours walk.

Alice and Anna left us early this morning so Alan checked out the room for them.
I organised to go out with the kids while Alan went off to ogle cocktail waitresses and play poker at the M Resort.
His interest in the comely cocktail waitresses was so noticeable that it even made it onto the ‘This Ain’t Iowa’ podcast. (http://notiowa.com)
The children and I got a cab to the Vegas Outlet Mall, Sasha wanted to get her hair cut and conditioned, the girl that did her hair burnt it with the dryer and Sasha did not like the cut, I could see she was miserable after it, but she is so pretty that it looks good anyway.
We all got to buy some clothes that we liked.
I made sure to get some new stuff, as I know how difficult it is to get things in my size in Malaysia.
We also had to buy a luggage bag to put Stefan’s dive gear in that we would be taking with us to Malaysia.
We then got a taxi, the driver, call me ‘Big Wayne’ had decided that we were a Rock ‘N’ Roll family, he never stopped talking, he showed us pictures of his girlfriend, his daughter who is lead singer with a death metal group called Vortex, his German mother and his Grandmother who is a Wagnerion Opera Singer.
He dropped us as requested at the Hard Rock Hotel giving us his card and assuring us he will sort out any problems for us!
We went to the box office so that we could get tickets for Stefan and Sasha to see the Marilyn Manson concert.
The band were doing a sound check while we were there and the staff said they were the loudest they had heard.
Once we had the tickets we got the Shuttle from the Hard Rock to the Strip and then made our way down to Bill’s to get the shuttle back to the Gold Coast.
The two eldest got ready to go to the concert and then indeed headed back to the Hard Rock.
Basty and I went for a bite to eat at the Noodle Exchange (not very good food) then we went for ice cream, I had a sugar free 98% fat free Butter and Pecan it was good.
Back to the room where Alan showed me photos of the cocktail waitresses of the M Resort as featured in the podcast and on this blog!
Sasha and Stefan returned very late after having walked all the way back from the Hard Rock, they had really enjoyed the show, they were buzzing.

Sofia seems somewhat Jealous of these M Resort beauties
