(this happened on) Wednesday 29th July, 2009 in Las Vegas

Vegas strip is always full of traffic but only between sets of constantly red traffic lights, remove them and put in roundabout and it would all be clear running
I crawled out of bed around 11:30am, (well I didn’t go to bed until around 3:30am), just living a normal Vegas lifestyle.
I decided to head out to the strip and have a wander around on my own, I like to just wander aimlessly and find things I may not see otherwise.
I caught the shuttle from the Gold Coast over to Bill’s and then walked down through the casinos and over to the Fashion Show Mall where I realised that strolling around shops with out any money is incredibly boring.
Making my way back through the hotels to avoid the incredible heat of the day 110F again, so hot. I guess I had forgotten quite how crazy hot it gets in this desert and here I was thinking Hawaii was so hot, it’s got nothing on this., this is hot plus one.
While I had been doing that Sofia had slept, read and did some drawing, as well as looking back at some of the pictures we had taken on our trip, there are some really good ones and lots to make her smile.
Her Father would have so enjoyed an adventure like this, only but we would not have had the energy to keep up with him.
When I got back to the hotel, Sofia, Sasha and I went for a swim in the pool.
The pool here is not very big but it is nice and clean and unlike at Hooters it is not packed with people or over chlorinated and also at Hooters they have ‘Security Guards’ whose job it seems to be to try and hang around all the prettiest ladies and chat them up, I’d noticed that also seemed to be the main aim when they were on duty inside the hotel, no such problems at the Gold Coast, in fact so far it’s looking like a great choice.
Afterwards we gathered the children and all went off to the buffet where we again filled our boots with good value food.
Our waitress brought our sodas in twos and kept on bringing them.
We all tried to go less crazy but still ate too much, the bread and butter pudding was very nice. We may also have all packed up take away parcels of Pecan Pie, carrot Cake and Cookies, yummy!
I played cards with the children while Stefan and Sasha drew all over each other with my felt pens, what a mess.
They like to kid me that they are going to get I heart Mummy tattooed on them for my birthday, like that would thrill me.
Back in the room I was on the net, posting the blogs etc while Sofia and the Kids played Kalluki .Stefan and Sasha drew all over each other with my felt pens, what a mess. They like to kid Sofia that they are going to get ‘I heart Mummy‘ tattooed on them for my birthday, like that would thrill her.
I was in bed by around midnight, I understand Sofia was up until 3:00am finishing her book.
