Pattaya is a place that must divide people – Our first visit was a major shock, our hotel was so bad that my wife was in tears before we had even unpacked so we went straight out and found a better (and much more expensive) option, The Marriott Hotel was that option a really nice place just meters from the madness and sleaze that is Pattaya, and, even though we had already paid for the other hotel we moved out within the hour and spent a pleasant few days in the comfort of the Marriott. This picture is taken in the wondeful grounds, who would know that right next door is a major shopping mall and acorss the road is the sea?
Pattaya grows on you, you just need to be aware of what it is all about.
